LocalTel Rate Changes Notification

Effective May 1st, 2014

All LocalTel customers:

Please be aware LocalTel has not increased our rates in two years. Since that time we have had two rate increases from the Network Broadcast companies and a rate increase from both Chelan and Grant PUD’s. So unfortunately we will need to adjust our rates accordingly.
LocalTel has made numerous pricing changes which became effective May 1st. Some of our rates have been increased, some have decreased. We have created new packages, offering a wider variety of choices of service, which in turn can help you, our valued customer, save some money. One of our major changes is in our Internet usage policy which now gives residential customers "unlimited downloading" (Subject to our Acceptable Use Policy). In addition, Chelan and Grant County PUD's have created different levels of service options for after hours repair. An overview of these changes is contained herein.

Repair Services:

  1. Basic Repair Service – which provides customers with PUD service support Monday through Friday from 7AM to 3:30 PM. Any service issues needing PUD support and/or service will be processed during these hours or will wait until the next business day. Work will be Queued up the next business day by the PUD based on the order it was received.
  2. Premium Repair Service – Provides customers with 24x7 technical service and support to restore internet/data service. Premium customers will pay a higher monthly fee. Premium customers will be given service priority over basic customers at all times.
    In Grant County all previous Business customers have been set to Premium Internet service. All previous residential customers have been set to Basic Internet service.
In Chelan County, all customers have been set to Basic Internet service, and will need to upgrade to Premium service by request. Almost all Chelan fiber Internet customers have been upgraded to a 25MBx2MB service at no additional cost to the customer. Chelan County customers now have new 60MB and 100MB service options available.
